The YOSAKOI Festival is held every year for a four day period from August 9th-10th. A huge fireworks display is held in addition to Festival Eve performances on the 9th and dancing contests which take place on the 10th and the 11th. The grand finale will be held on the 12th. The fireworks display takes place on the banks of the Kagami River from 19:30 to 21:00. On the Festival Eve dance performances are held in Kochi's central park square from 18:30 to 22:00 The main YOSAKOI festival dances will take place in a number of locations around the city and the dancers rotate locations making a truly exciting spectacle for all to enjoy. The grand finale will be held in Kochi's central park square from 19:00 to 21:50.
